Shipping Instructions, Payment Methods, Estimate Policy, and Repair Time
The following instructions are provided to assist you with sending in your electronic item for repair to our New York (Brooklyn) Facility. We offer Nationwide Service for Most Professional, DJ, and Consumer Electronic products. We HIGHLY Suggest you CONTACT US First, before sending in your unit, to ensure that we can repair it! Please fill out the following FREE SERVICE ESTIMATE REQUEST.
Download, print, and fill out the DAT WORK ORDER FORM - please put the completed form inside the box with the repair when it is shipped. No return authorization number is required for repair returns! Use (1) Form for EACH PRODUCT SHIPPED.
When packaging your product for repair, please use at least 3 inches of padding all around the product for protection during shipment. We recommend you use a carrier that can track your shipment if you want to know the delivery status of the repair. Insurance is also recommended.
FREE RETURN SHIPPING:
We offer free return shipping on most mailed-in service items. However, there are some restrictions (otherwise we would put ourselves out of business!):
- FRRE Return shipping on ALL Repairs valued @ over US$150 PER Item
- Free Return Shipping on ALL Warranty Repairs - must include Proof Of Purchase copy (receipt/invoice)
- Item must not exceed 30lbs in weight. An additional fee of $.75 per pound up to 70lbs - will apply to your final invoice for the return shipping. Items in excess of 70lbs will be billed accordingly for the extra weight.
- Freight shipments (90lbs+) will incurr the REAL shipping price, as quoted by our Freight company. We will shop around for the best freight quote, but you'll always have the final decision. (We make no money on shipping charges. We are in the repair business, not the shipping business).
- We will insure your equpiment up to a value of US$500 - you will be responsible for any additional insurance charges.
All shipping costs to DAT Service Center are the responsibility of the party requesting the service work. All validated warranty repairs have returned shipping prepaid by DAT using the same shipping priority as the repair was received from the customer. We typically return ship via United Parcel Service. Sorry, we cannot offer COD payments at this time.

To claim warranty service, please indicate on the DAT WORK ORDER FORM which should be returned in the box with the repair (See above “DAT Service Form” under SHIPPING:). Be certain to enclose a copy of your dated sales receipt. A copy of your dated sales receipt for the product is required for all warranty repair claims!
PAYMENT METHODS FOR NON-WARRANTY REPAIRS:
Acceptable payment methods are Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Money Order, and Check (Personal & Business). $30 NSF Fee Applicable on all Returned Checks.
If you would like an estimate prior to repair, please fill out the Following Service Estimate Form. Be certain to include your daytime telephone number and email address on the Service Form. We will call or email the quote based on your description of the product.
MAILED IN ESTIMATES:
We charge $40.00 plus return shipping for all Mailed-In Estimates. This can be applied to the service invoice, if you decide to have your unit(s) repaired. The charge for a declined estimate is for minimum bench time to determine the product problem. THIS IS NON-REFUNDABLE.
Turnaround time for repairs is typically Five to Ten working days from when a repair is received by DAT. We do everything possible to repair products received via OVERNIGHT delivery on the day it is received. We also return ship OVERNIGHT repairs via OVERNIGHT delivery. Any other delivery method to DAT Service is subject to our standard repair time.
